The Elim Pentecostal Churches which owns and operates RTC has announced the purchase of the former St James School for Girls in West Malvern and the transfer of the College to the new site along with Elim’s International Offices.
RTC has been based on its current site in Nantwich for the last 20 years, but the possibility of moving to a larger, fully refurbished site which will provide state of the art facilities for the 21st century was an opportunity not to be missed.
The new site is situated in 35 acres of beautiful countryside on the Malvern Hills overlooking Herefordshire. It is just 7 miles from Worcester, and 8 miles from the M5 motorway.
The new site will provide enhanced facilities for students including a 50,000 volume library, state of the art lecture facilities, a fully equipped 250 seat theatre and improved accommodation for both single students and families.
Refurbishment work on the buildings has just commenced and we expect to welcome the first students to the new site in September 2009.
Commenting on the forthcoming move, College Principal Nigel Tween said, “ Everyone at the College is really buzzing at this exciting development as it will open up so many more opportunities for students who study with us. We’re also planning new courses including a new Creative Arts and Theology degree – subject to University approval.”
