Commissioning Day marks the end of the academic year for RTC students and is the day when we celebrate the completion of their studies and send out those who are leaving us into the roles to which God has called them.
This year Commissioning Day is being held on Saturday 3rd May, and everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate the students’ success.
The timetable for the day is as follows:
10.00am – College open for guests to arrive
11.00am – Private receptions for leaving students and their families
12.30pm – Commissioning day celebration service
2.45pm – Barbecue tea
4.00pm – Departure
This year we are delighted to welcome our new Chancellor, Lyndon Bowering as our Commissioning Day speaker. Lyndon is Executive Chairman of CARE and is a well known leader in evangelical Christian circles. We are looking forward to hearing Lyndon as he commissions our leaving students.
There will be a children’s crèche while the service is ongoing, and in the afternoon there will be a children’s bouncy castle. The day is free to attend, although an offering will be taken to help cover the costs of the event.
Why not come and join us? Last year over 700 people attended, and we had a fantastic day. You can look round the college, meet students, browse in the bookshop, or jus soak up the atmosphere.
