For some years RTC has offered a BA (Hons) degree in Applied Theology. From September 2009, students will have the option to follow one of four tracks within this degree programme to specialise in the area of their choice. The tracks available are:
Theology
The core programme at RTC which provides a solid biblical and theological study course and offers a wide range of choice of elective modules. Options available include Paul’s epistles, Greek, Hebrew, evangelism, pastoral care and counselling to name but a few.
Theology with Youth Ministry
RTC works closely with Serious4God, the national youth department of the Elim churches to provide strategic placements for students in youth ministry settings and to deliver youth specific modules such as communication in a youth setting and evangelism.
Theology with Performing Arts
RTC has teamed up with premier christian theatre company Saltmine to offer the performing arts track, which at level one will incorporate modules including acting techniques, devised theatre, depictions of Jesus on film and History of theatre and religion.
Theology with Pastoral Ministry
Calling on experienced practicioners, this track provides a focus of those wishing to pursue pastoral ministry with opportunities for placements in pastoral settings and mentoring and coaching by the College pastoral team.
