RTC moves to its new home in Malvern, Worcestershire in the summer with the first new students starting in September. Work is developing fast on site ready for the new student arrivals. Some of the buildings are over 150 years old, and so have required extensive renovation including new heating systems, re-wiring and new IT systems being installed.
Student accommodation will see a significant upgrade from the current facilities offered at Nantwich. The majority of student bedrooms will have private en suite shower facilities and all rooms will have hard wired internet access with streaming capability. All rooms will have brand new furniture and will be fully re-decorated.
Students will also be able to benefit from a large new student centre with TV, pool and kitchen facilities. In addition the site features an outdoor heated swimming pool, four tennis courts and a range of sports pitches. There are 35 acres of woodland to wander through, and being built on the site of the Malvern Hills, great walking and mountain biking facilities are right on the doorstep.
The new library facility will offer enhanced study areas and a wider range of academic resources. Additionally our theological bookshop is more than doubling in size to cater for the needs of students. Our new theatre is also nearly ready. This will seat 250 people and provides full drama and study facilities. We are launching a new performing arts course in partnership with Saltmine Theatre Company which will be based in the new theatre and will start in September.
Building work is expected to be completed well in advance of September to allow plenty of time for the removal of the College from Nantwich to Malvern over the summer period.
To find out whether it would be right for you to be one of the first students to benefit from this fantastic learning venue, why not come to a “Just Looking” event? Held over 3 days, these are free events designed to give you a taste of what student life is like. You will attend lectures and seminars, meet students and lecturers, and sample the food and accommodation.
