Regents Theological College is ‘an approved academic partner’ of the University of Chester, and successful students receive their awards from Chester. As one of the leading universities in the UK, the University of Chester awards are recognised both in the UK and internationally.
How are Regents courses delivered?

At undergraduate level you have two study options; either as a campus student, or by studying in context, where you remain in your home, work, and/or church environment, and visit Regents campus for the specific course modules.

At postgraduate level, you live at home and come up to the campus for the specific course modules.
If I am studying in context or as a postgraduate student, where do I stay when I come up to campus?

Regents Theological College has its own conference centre. Visiting students can book a room at the conference centre for the duration of their visit. Special rates apply to Regents students either on a B&B or full board basis. When you are onsite you eat with the other students and college staff in the college dining room.

Breakfast is served between 7.45am – 9am, lunch from 12pm – 1.30pm, and supper from 5.30pm.

Regents also runs the Sugarloaf Café in the Arts Centre. The Sugarloaf is open to everyone, including our friends and neighbours in the surrounding West Malvern village. It serves teas and coffees, light meals, cakes and other homemade food. It also has a range of household goods, groceries and everyday needs, so is very like a village shop.

There are places to sit both inside and out, and students find it a great place to meet, and/or to study.

The main town of Malvern is 10 minutes’ drive and has several supermarkets, restaurants and shops; and its own retail park. Further afield, Worcester is the nearest city, a 15 minute drive, and Birmingham is 40 minutes away.
Is it easy to drive to Regents?

Regents Theological College is close to several major routes. Malvern itself is on the A449 trunk route from Worcester to Ross on Wye.

Travelling from the North on the M5 motorway, exit at Junction 7 and follow the signs to Malvern. Travelling from the South on the M5, exit at Junction 8 onto the M50 motorway and then after a very short distance take Junction 1 signposted to the Malverns, and follow the A38 to Upton Upon Severn, and then the B4211 into Malvern.

How long is a typical study day?

Undergraduate modules are delivered over four consecutive days, starting on a Tuesday at 9.20am and running until the following Friday at 3pm. On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s classes run until 5.30pm, with coffee and lunch breaks. On Wednesday classes run from 9.30am – 1pm, and from 2pm – 3pm. This is followed by the College’s mid-week devotions from 3.30pm – 5pm. On Friday lectures finish at 3pm so context students can travel home ahead of the Friday evening traffic.

Postgraduate lectures take place from 9.30am – 5.30pm on Thursday and Friday over two consecutive weeks.

How do I hear of updated college information as a student?

When you enrol at Regents you are given your own internal Regents student email address through which you will be kept regularly updated by the academic and student services staff.

Regents also has a student portal through which academic work is done. The portal includes timetables, lecture notes and power points, and the means by which you submit your assessments.
