Director of Spiritual Formation, Youth Track Course Leader, and Performing Arts Lecturer

Ollie has always been captivated by the life, creativity, and humanity in both the arts and theology; he will share this passion with anyone willing to listen. In 2009 this led him to study at Regents to further explore Theology and Performing Arts, gaining a BA (Hons). He went on to complete an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practices at the University of Worcester, whilst working with a number of professional Christian theatre companies across the UK. He has also led youth theatres and community outreach projects for the University of Worcester, and various churches and charities. He’s currently the volunteer youth leader at St Paul’s Church in Worcester, works with Tim Alford at Limitless Academy, which is part of Regents, and with 4Front Theatre as one of their trustees.

Ollie has taught widely in the fields of Performing Arts and Youth Ministry. His current teaching includes:

Ethical Frameworks in Youth Ministry (good professional practice and theological foundations of youth ministry)

Culture and Context (understanding the nature of faith in the UK and how to engage young people in their current culture)

Acting Techniques (including the fundamentals of acting – voice, physicality and technique)

Adolescent Faith Development (theological anthropology combined with adolescent counselling)

Leadership (leadership in a youth ministry context as well as developing a youth ministry programme)

Ethics and Performance practice (Applied Drama, community based theatre as well as physical comedy and clowning)

Models of Youth Ministry (biblical and philosophical ecclesiologies and models of youth ministry and innovation in youth ministry)

Creating Performance (contemporary performance techniques and devising strategies including Postdramatic techniques)
